Letslaw joins the Artificial Intelligence Cluster of the Community of Madrid

At Letslaw, we are very proud to announce that we have taken a firm step in our commitment to digital innovation by officially joining the Artificial Intelligence Cluster of the Community of Madrid. This is a collaborative space that brings together technology companies, public bodies, and academic institutions, with the goal of promoting concrete AI projects in key sectors.

A new stage combining law and innovation

Our entry into the Cluster strengthens our mission: to support startups and entrepreneurs with legal advice adapted to today’s digital and complex environment. Our colleague Paula Ferrándiz, an expert lawyer in digital law and new technologies, summed up this vision very clearly:

“AI has enormous potential to change the way we work and live in Spain: from making business processes more efficient to improving key public services such as healthcare and education.”

This approach highlights the dual dimension that artificial intelligence is already taking on, not only as tools for companies but also as solutions capable of transforming structures and essential public services.

Competitive advantage and economic growth

From our perspective, AI represents a path toward a more agile and strategic way of operating. Paula Ferrándiz put it precisely:

“With AI, we will be able to make faster and more informed decisions, which in the long run will boost the country’s competitiveness and economic growth.”

It is a clear reminder that the law is not an obstacle, but a necessary partner in the safe adoption of high-impact technologies.

Where legal work adds value

Our participation in the Cluster is not merely symbolic. It becomes an essential link for entrepreneurs and startups developing AI-based solutions. Some of the key contributions are:

  • Regulatory and ethical assessment, identifying legal risks from the design of products and services, especially in terms of data protection, algorithmic transparency, and liability.
  • Governance and digital compliance, building robust internal frameworks for AI governance, aligned with European regulation (AI Act), the GDPR, and other relevant laws.
  • Secure technology contracting, drafting licensing agreements, collaborations, or data processing arrangements that include adequate safeguards against technology providers.
  • Specialized training, equipping technical teams and executives with the key legal knowledge for responsible innovation.

This collaboration comes at a crucial time for those looking to build in the field of artificial intelligence. The entry into force, on August 2, of new obligations under the Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act) highlights the importance of business and law going hand in hand.

A promising ecosystem

The Artificial Intelligence Cluster of the Community of Madrid includes the active participation of universities such as UC3M and the institutional coordination of Red.es. The goal is clear: to consolidate Madrid as a hub for AI development, promoting research, talent, and real application in both public and private sectors.

For us, being part of this ecosystem means being at the forefront of collaboration, providing access to knowledge and legal support at every step.

The value of anticipation

The fruitful combination of AI, entrepreneurship, and law will resonate across multiple areas, from emerging regulations to financing strategies. As a specialized law firm, we aim to anticipate these changes and guide projects toward innovative and legally solid solutions.

As Paula Ferrándiz reflects: “Without a doubt, AI is a tool that will completely change the way we interact with technology and face the challenges of the future.”

In conclusion, our incorporation into the Artificial Intelligence Cluster of the Community of Madrid represents a tangible commitment to digital progress, entrepreneurship, and legal transformation. It is a step that strengthens our core mission: to bring law closer to the technological world, drive projects with a solid legal foundation, and accompany innovation with trust, strategy, and responsibility.

What is clear to us is that AI will not only make companies more efficient but will also change the way we live and face tomorrow, always with clear rules, a future-oriented vision, and the right professional support.
