New call for applications for the Digital Kit program

From Letslaw by RSM we proceed to explain in this article what the aid or subsidies associated with the program known as “Kit Digital” consist of, as well as the steps to be followed by those companies or self-employed workers interested in applying for it. 

What is the Digital Kit program? 

During the year 2022, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation has launched the initiative or project known as the Digital Kit, the main objective of which is to support and encourage the digitalization of small and medium-sized companies (those with fewer than 50 employees) and the self-employed. This public aid from the Digital Kit is financed with “Next Generation EU” funds and beneficiaries can apply for subsidies of between 2,000 and 12,000 Euros to contract technological solutions through digitalization agents. 

In this sense, the beneficiary will be able to choose from a catalogue of digital solutions and digitalizing agents to implement those digital services that best suit their business and/or needs. The adoption of this type of digital solutions within a company will save time and money, improve productivity, optimize customer management and increase sales. 

Who can apply for the Kit Digital grant?

As indicated in the previous paragraph, the beneficiaries of the Digital Kit program will be small businesses, micro-enterprises and self-employed workers, who will receive a digital voucher for the digitization of their business, the amount of which will vary depending on the size of the company and the digital solution selected.  

Beneficiaries are basically eligible for 5 types of aid, depending on the type or category of digitization services or solutions for which they are applying:  

  • 2,000 Euros (e.g. for the creation of a website); 
  • 2,500 Euros (e.g. social media management);
  • 4,000 Euros (e.g. customer and supplier management);
  • 6,000 Euros (e.g. cyber security services);
  • 12,000 Euros (e.g. virtual office services and tools). 

What are qualified service providers and how to find one?

In order to have the help of a Digitization Agent, who will be the figure authorized to promote the application for this type of aid by the beneficiary, a “Digitization Solutions Provision Agreement” must be formalized between the beneficiary and the Digitization Agent in question. The beneficiaries will contract those Digitization Agents that they know or that offer them the most competitive offer for submitting the application for the aid and the rest of the procedures necessary to obtain the aid.  

In view of the above, there are online platforms that make it easier for a company interested in applying for this type of subsidy to contact and contract a Digitization Agent. In fact, through Red.es, a kind of “Marketplace” is available to Digital Agents and grant beneficiaries where they can register and contract online

Steps to follow to apply for the Digital Kit 

To apply for the Digital Kit, the interested party must first complete the following steps:

  1. Register at acelerapyme.es and complete the digital diagnostic test.
  2. Consult the digital solutions section where you can select one or more solutions depending on the size of the company and its digital needs. 
  3. Apply for the Kit Digital aid in Red.es by accessing the call for applications procedure. To do this you will need a Digital Certificate or Cl@ve. 

As of today, applications for any of these grants can be submitted until the 15th of  March of 2023. Therefore, Letslaw by RSM will be at your disposal in case you require our assistance to carry out all the procedures related to obtaining the grants associated with the Digital Kit.
