{"id":3872,"date":"2018-08-30T08:00:48","date_gmt":"2018-08-30T08:00:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/letslaw.es\/gdpr-breakfast-workshop\/"},"modified":"2023-01-23T10:16:14","modified_gmt":"2023-01-23T10:16:14","slug":"gdpr-breakfast-workshop-launchmetrics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/letslaw.es\/en\/gdpr-breakfast-workshop-launchmetrics\/","title":{"rendered":"LETSLAW + LAUNCHMETRICS #GDPR Breakfast Workshop"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This year, Letslaw has had the pleasure of participating in the breakfast organized by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.launchmetrics.com\/es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Launchmetrics<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>giving small guidelines on how to comply with the new General Data Protection Regulations (RGPD) to the different attendees, among which was:<strong> Hearst Magazines S.L. Spain<\/strong>, <strong>Bimba &amp; Lola<\/strong>, <strong>L&#8217;Occitane en Provence Spain<\/strong>, <strong>Shiseido Spain<\/strong>, and <strong>Delpozo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In this breakfast we analyzed issues related to the world of fashion, applied to the personal data protection and how it is affected by the GDPR, which entered into force on May 25.<\/p>\n<p>Letslaw, through its founding partner Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Ba\u00f1os, was in charge of informing the participants of the need to adapt to current regulations, including the latest legislative developments in electronic commerce, in which the new GDPR was the main protagonist.<\/p>\n<p>The talk discussed the main changes introduced by the <strong>new GDPR<\/strong>, including new interpretations of the <strong>Spanish Agency for Data Protection<\/strong>, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The new legal bases for data processing, of which special emphasis was placed on consent. The <strong>consent<\/strong> is reinforced by the GDPR and must be <strong>free, specific, informed and unequivocal<\/strong>, consisting of a declaration or clear affirmative action, not admitting tacit consent.<\/li>\n<li>Regarding the <strong>rights of data subjects<\/strong>, the GDPR extends the rights with the restriction of processing to the indispensable data to provide a service and once finished they will have to stop being used, but also with the right to be forgotten or the portability of data to be able to recover them in a format that allows them to be transferred to another designated data controller.<\/li>\n<li>A new figure is introduced, which is the <strong><a title=\"Data Protection Officer\" href=\"https:\/\/letslaw.es\/abogados-proteccion-datos\/delegado-proteccion-datos\/\">Data Protection Officer<\/a> (DPO<\/strong>). The DPO can be, without going any further, an employee of the company or an external consultant, in charge of checking and recording the processing that is made of the personal data within the organization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition to all the above, special mention was made to the new figure of <strong>infuencers<\/strong> and how the processing of their personal data is affected in order to formalize a collaboration with different brands.<\/p>\n<p>All these points were addressed in the workshop, where attendees could intervene with the representative of Letslaw and comment on the different cases presented in the day to day of their companies.<\/p>\n<p>Letslaw, as a specialized firm in digital law and new technologies, was very pleased to participate for the first time in an event of this kind.
